Lindbergh Kidnapping. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
A one of a kind actual handwritten communication from one of the hundreds sent to the Lindbergh’s during the search for the kidnapped baby. I have been collecting Lindbergh for 50+ years. I have not seen another. A cavalcade of fame seekers offered assistance to locate the baby. Even Al Capone claimed he would locate. Sadly, some of these claimants had ring of truth and Lindbergh actually followed some to no fruition.
The condition of these telegram is quite poor and will require conservation. The paper is acidic as is all contemporary newsprint. One corner is actually loose from the body.
For collectors of such a this, it is a piece of actual fabric from the period.
I have owned this for decades and my shame is that while in my care, it has suffered.
I believe a proper conservation is essential. Paper conservators are plentiful in museum settings.
