Up for sale here is this VERY RARE vintage
Uncut Sheet of the infamous
True Crime Series 1 Trading Cards.
“The cards your parents wouldn’t let you own!”
This double sided uncut sheet measures 26" x 40" and features the complete 1992 Eclipse base card set.
This series features both mobsters and serial killers together in one large sheet and is a signed and numbered edition of just 50. Each sheet is signed and numbered by card writer George Hagenauer
Hagenauer requested 50 uncut sheets that he could sell as a limited edition – possibly the first time uncut sheets were marketed as a collectible. When originally written into the contract the sheets would have contained only the mobster cards which Hagenauer figured could be sold to Italian restaurants if they were not bought by collectors. That strategy disappeared when the serial killer cards were combined with the mobsters as few restaurants would want Jeffrey Dahmer or Ed Gein on their walls.
You get #33 (of only 50) with this auction. There is edge wear and some creasing on this poster (see pics). It makes for
a great conversation piece when framed and hung on a wall (or can be used to cover large sections of cracked plaster!).
