Vintage Kaleidoscope By APRES LA PLUIE 14950 France c.1979-1981 (RARE).
A splendid example of the kaleidoscopes produced in the late 1970’s by the legendary Apres La Pluie in Beaumont en Auge, France. Their kaleidoscopes were handcrafted, using traditional methods and the finest materials.
This elegant vintage model measures 13.25 inches in length and is 1.75 inches in diameter and comes replete with its original protective sheath and original Apres La Pluie label.
The metal shaft is a peacock blue enamel with brass surrounds for the glass lens at both ends.
The protective cylindrical case features handmade paper of a distinctive black mottled design.
A well cared for and rarely used object.
