Vintage Hawthorne Bicycle OLD SOL Electrical Battery Tin for Electric Light Outfit ~ SELLING TIN ONLY
This Unique Early Bicycle Tin with a great name, "OLD SOL" written across the front and back in large 1" high letters measures approximately 7-1/2" wide by 6 " high. Color is black. It opens on both ends. One end cap is Marked, "Old Sol Bicycle, Electric Lighting Outlet, Made in U.S.A. by Hawthorne Mfg., Co. Inc., Bridgeport, Conn". The tin has two mounting brackets at the top that I would assume would be used to attach to the bicycle. The inside of the tin is lined with a heavy paper material. I also found a part with a label that read "To Battery" with a bolt and screw. This as well as the paper lining will be included in the sale.
Vintage used condition with scratches and wear. Selling the Tin Container Only with the paper interior ~ Not the Electric Light Outfit. Please see closeup view of pictures for further detail of condition and description.
